Template licence: summary
A plain-English summary of the licence that comes with every Appy Studio HTML website template. The full text is LICENSE.md in your download; if this page and that file differ, the file applies.
Applies to Ledgerly, Groomhaus and Tradeline (and to each template in the bundle).
You may
- Use the template to build one website, for your own business or for one client.
- Change it as much as you like for that website: text, images, colours, layout and code.
- Keep a test or staging copy of that same website, and backups.
- Hand the finished site over to your client, who may keep using and editing that one site.
You may not
- Resell, share, give away, sublicense or redistribute the template itself (or a lightly modified copy), free or paid. That includes template marketplaces, theme stores, file-sharing sites and public code repositories.
- Use one purchase for more than one website. Buy another copy for each extra site.
- Claim the design as your own original template.
Good to know
- Bundle: each template in the bundle may be used for one website, so three websites in total.
- Fonts: loaded from Google Fonts under the SIL Open Font License 1.1.
- Images: the hero image was AI-generated for the template; the other graphics are drawn in code. You may use them in your licensed site, but we recommend your own photos.
- Sample content: all names, people, prices and addresses are fictional. Replace them before publishing, and don't publish made-up customer quotes.
- Third-party services (Netlify, Formspree, Google Fonts, domain registrars) have their own terms and prices and aren't part of the licence.
- No warranty: provided "as is"; to the extent the law allows, liability is limited to what you paid. Your consumer-law rights aren't affected.
- Ending: the licence ends if its terms are broken, or if you're refunded. Then stop using the template and delete your copies.
