Dog grooming website checklist
Dog owners want to see what you do, what it'll roughly cost for their dog, and how to book. Answer those clearly and you'll get fewer "how much for a cavoodle?" messages.
Services, with times
- Full groom, bath and tidy, puppy intro, nail trim, de-shedding: one short paragraph each.
- How long each takes, so owners can plan drop-off and pick-up.
- Mobile groomers: list the suburbs you cover.
Prices by size and coat
Show "from" prices by size (small, medium, large, giant) and explain what can change the price: matting, coat condition and behaviour. See how to set out a price list by dog size, or work out your own numbers with the free grooming price calculator.
Booking request form
Ask for: owner name, phone, email, dog's name, breed, size, age, the service wanted, preferred days, and any health or behaviour notes. A request form (you confirm by reply) is simpler than live online booking and avoids double bookings.
Policies
- Vaccinations you require, if any.
- Late cancellation and no-show policy.
- Matted coats: say when a shave-down may be the kinder option.
- Senior dogs or anxious dogs: how you handle them.
Photos and trust
Your own before-and-after photos (with the owner's permission), the salon or van, and you. Stock photos don't build trust for a local service.
Local search basics
- Put your suburb or service area in the page title, for example "Dog grooming in Tauranga".
- Use the same business name, address and phone as your Google Business Profile.
- Keep images compressed so pages load fast on phones.
