How the price is worked out
Time is the main cost in grooming, so the calculator starts from typical table time by size (small 1.5 h, medium 2 h, large 2.75 h, giant 3.5 h). It adjusts for coat (short ×0.8, long ×1.2, double ×1.3) and adds 30 minutes for matting. It multiplies that time by your target hourly rate, adds products, and rounds up to the nearest $5.
These starting times are editable assumptions, not industry data. Time a few of your own grooms and adjust the rate until the price matches your real table time.
